If you’re taking a tour, you should be fit enough to be able to cycle around for a few hours at a comfortable pace. Sometimes, stops are a short distance from one another. Other times, we’re riding for 15-20 minutes straight to arrive at our next destination.

If you’re renting a bike, you set the pace and decide how far and how long you want to ride. It’s completely up to you. Know your body and what you can handle.

We leave it up to parents to decide whether or not their children are capable enough to join our tours. Small children can sit in a child’s seat attached to an adult bike. Older children requiring their own bike should be comfortable and confident riders. Please contact us with your specific questions or doubts.

Yes, waivers must be signed.

While much of our riding takes place in bike paths and lanes, we do occasionally need to ride in the street. Our guides will always choose the safest and easiest route, but we do suggest that tour-goers be confident bike riders.

You must be at least 16 years old to ride an e-bike. Anyone 21 and under is required by California state law to wear a bicycle helmet while riding an electric assist bicycle.

In the very unlikely event that it is pouring rain in Los Angeles and we cannot conduct our tours, we offer a full refund or reschedule you on another available day.

If you are truly not comfortable cycling, why not try our Taste of Santa Monica Walking Tour! If you want to cycle but want a bit of an easier ride, we recommend the Santa Monica & Venice Beach Bike Adventure.

On our Taste of Santa Monica Walking Tour and our Sweet Spots Dessert Bike Tour, food samples will be included at our 3-4 tour stops. Any additional food or drink will be at your own cost. Our other Santa Monica tours do not include any food or drink, though we may be able to accommodate a quick stop to grab a snack at your own cost.

If you need to use the restroom, we will find you one!

You must make a reservation in advance for a tour. You can, but do not have to, make a reservation for a rental. We welcome walk-ups for rentals!
