My sisters and I like to find interesting ways to celebrate our birthdays by doing something together. We thought a walking food tour would give us a chance to reconnect with each other while trying out some of the great eateries of Santa Monica. It was perfect. We had lots of time to catch up with each other , enjoy an eclectic mix of the Santa Monica food scene, and have a wonderful conversation with our warm, intelligent and interesting tour guide Sandra.

The streets surrounding Downtown Santa Monica boast an eclectic collection of cafes, restaurants and people, making for a must-see local hangout on the Westside of Los Angeles. While each tour varies depending on restaurant availability, stops and tastings may include an award winning cheeseburger, handcrafted doughnuts, authentic Italian sandwiches, and even a visit to the famed Farmers’ Market.
Moving along at a comfortable pace, you’ll follow your expert guide through downtown Santa Monica taking in the history and culture of the area while gaining an intimate knowledge of the local food scene.

It’s more than a food tour. The food stops were delicious (obviously) but what made it special was our guide, Gary. Gary is both knowledgeable and passionate about the Santa Monica neighborhood, often sharing many interesting facts of the area. The tour goes at a comfortable pace, giving ample time to absorb the sights, sounds and taste of the food and neighborhood. We also learned interesting snippets of history and culture.
