I'm traveling with my whole office/bachelorette party/the entire cast of Game of Thrones. Can you accommodate us?

Show Answer

Yes! We have years of experience working with big groups of people for corporate outings and special events. Check out our Group Bookings & Private Tours page.

How fit do I need to be?

Show Answer

If you’re taking a tour, you should be fit enough to be able to cycle around for a few hours at a comfortable pace. Sometimes, stops are a short distance from one another. Other times, we’re riding for 15-20 minutes straight to arrive at our next destination.

If you’re renting a bike, you set the pace and decide how far and how long you want to ride. It’s completely up to you. Know your body and what you can handle.

Are bike tours suitable for children?

Show Answer

We leave it up to parents to decide whether or not their children are capable enough to join our tours. Small children can sit in a child’s seat attached to an adult bike. Older children requiring their own bike should be comfortable and confident riders. Please contact us with your specific questions or doubts.

Is it safe?

Show Answer

Los Angeles: While our tour routes stick to the more bike-friendly streets and our guides are experts in city cycling, we do want to make it clear that we will be riding on city streets, with or without bike lanes. This is the downtown area in a big city, and there will be cars driving by. While our guides know the best roads to take, you should feel comfortable riding in traffic.

Santa Monica: While much of our riding takes place in bike paths and lanes, we do occasionally need to ride in the street. Our guides will always choose the safest and easiest route, but we do suggest that tour-goers be confident bike riders.

Must I wear a helmet?

Show Answer

Anyone under 18 years old must wear a helmet on a regular bike. Anyone 21 and under is required by CA state law to wear a bicycle helmet while riding an electric assist bicycle. We will always provide helmets, free of charge, along with your rental or tour.

What are the requirements to ride an e-bike?

Show Answer

You must be at least 16 years old to ride an e-bike. Anyone 21 and under is required by CA state law to wear a bicycle helmet while riding an electric assist bicycle.

What happens if it rains on the day of my tour?

Show Answer

In the very unlikely event that it is pouring rain in Los Angeles and we cannot conduct our tours, we offer a full refund or reschedule you on another available day.

I'm not an experienced cyclist. Which tour is best for me?

Show Answer

Los Angeles: If you’re not an experienced cyclist, we recommend taking the LA Landmarks E-bike Tour. As the bikes are pedal assisted, they’re not difficult to ride at a nice pace for long distances.
We strive to make use of bike lanes on city streets as much as possible. At times, you may be riding on streets alongside traffic. Our guides know which streets are suitable and will follow the safest routes.

Santa Monica: If you are truly not comfortable cycling, why not try our Taste of Santa Monica Walking Tour or Santa Monica & Venice Beach Segway Tour! If you want to cycle but want a bit of an easier ride, we recommend the Santa Monica & Venice Beach Bike Adventure.

Do we stop for food on the tour?

Show Answer

Los Angeles: Our LA Landmark E-bike Tour route does not include a food stop, nor is any food included in the price of your tour, but if you work up an appetite on your bike tour and something scrumptious catches your eye, we can accommodate a quick stop for a snack along the way.

Our Discover DTLA Bike Tour might include a stop at an ice cream shop, but no food or drink is included in the price of the tour.

Santa Monica: On our Taste of Santa Monica Walking Tour and our Sweet Spots Dessert Bike Tour, food samples will be included at our 3-4 tour stops. Any additional food or drink will be at your own cost. Our other Santa Monica tours do not include any food or drink, though we may be able to accommodate a quick stop to grab a snack at your own cost.

Will there be bathrooms along the way?

Show Answer

If you need to use the restroom, we will find you one!

Do I have to make a reservation in advance for a tour or rental?

Show Answer

You must make a reservation in advance for a tour. You can, but do not have to, make a reservation for a rental. We welcome walk-ups for rentals!
